Prof. Dr. Lukas Müller and Philippe Kaiser gave a digital presentation at the University of St. Gallen on the progress of digitalization in the area of corporate and notarial law. The revision of the Code of Obligations brings numerous innovations, which in particular enable the virtualization of meetings but also incorporate new technologies such as distributed ledgers and thus pave the way for the tokenization of shares. The practical experience with electronic meetings and voting in accordance with Ordinance 3 on Measures to Combat the Corona Virus was also presented to the students with concrete examples and the impact this has had and will continue to have on notaries and their notarizations. Many thanks to Prof. Dr. Florian Möslein for the invitation to give a lecture as part of the Law and Econimics course at the University of St. Gallen.
