Our legal tech experts Diego Benz and Philippe Kaiser took part in the online IBM EDV Gerichtstag in Germany at the invitation of Ulrich Schimpel from IBM Switzerland. They spoke on the topic of “Processing and digitalization of start-ups using blockchain technology”. Blockchain technology creates many new opportunities, including in relation to start-ups. Diego Benz and Philippe Kaiser used the example of Drakkensberg AG, which was founded using blockchain technology, to show what the start-up of tomorrow could look like. They discussed the advantages that new technologies bring, as well as possible hurdles that still exist in law. The digitalization of the entire process results in one major advantage in particular: efficiency. While it can take up to six weeks to complete a traditional incorporation, a digital incorporation can be completed within 48 hours.
